Update: The Days: They Now Grow Shorter

TOWSON, Maryland, Monday, June 26 and Saturday, June 24, 2017 - It is hard to fathom on a warm June Saturday, but the longest day of 2017 has now come and gone, and the days here in Baltimore and everywhere else in the Northern Hemisphere already grow shorter.

Conversely, the nights grow longer. Sooner than you think, longer nights will mean cooler nights because when the sun is below the horizon, heat escapes the earth's surface and radiates8jus off into space. The longer the sun is "down," the more heat that is able to escape.

A few days of cool weather here in Baltimore proves the point.  Forecasters say that temperatures will not reach 80 degrees on Tuesday and will fall into the 50's on Tuesday Night.  It all sounds good to me.  Looking further down the road, forecasters say that temperatures will warm toward the end of the week before cooling off again on Sunday and early next week.

According to data available at the United States Naval Observatory in Washington, D.C., , sunrise in Baltimore on Tuesday, June 20 was at 5:40 am, and sunset was at 8:36 pm.  All times I have provided are in Eastern Daylight Savings Time computations.  Subtract an hour from any reading to obtain the Eastern Standard Time computation.

Somewhat surprisingly - at least to an amateur like me - the sunrise and sunset in Baltimore were exactly the same on June 18, 19 and 20. On June 21, the sunrise remained the same - 5:40 am - but the sunset was one minute later at 8:37 pm.   Sunrise is at 5:40 am in Baltimore from June 18 through June 22. The Summer Solstice for this year, in the entire Northern Hemisphere, was at exactly 24 minutes past midnight on June 21.  After the Solstice, we know that, however slowly, the days begin to shorten and the nights begin to lengthen.

Near the date of the summer solstice, the length of days changes slowly.  Beginning on June 23 (yesterday), the sun rose one minute later, at 5:41 pm., for three straight days.

The change in the sunset is even slower.  From June 17 through June 20, the sun dropped below the horizon at 8:36 pm.  On June 21, the very day that the solstice occurred, the sun went down one minute later, at 8:37 pm.  The sun continues to set at 8:37 pm until the day before the Fourth of July celebration.  That is a streak of 13 straight days.  From July 4 through July 7. the sun returns to a setting time of 8:36 pm.  Then, on July 8. it sets at 8:35 pm.

Not many people realize that sunrise and sunset change as you travel north and south, even within the United States.

Hence, at Bar Harbor, Maine, the Sunrise on June 21 was at 4:49 am, while sunset was at 8:21 pm

If you do the math, the sun rose in Maine some 51 minutes sooner than it did in Baltimore.  But the sun went down in Maine 16 minutes sooner than in Baltimore (Bar Harbor Sunset was at 8:21 pm; in Baltimore it was at 8:37 pm).

If you went south from Baltimore to Miami, Florida, the changes in the sun's time above the horizon are even more dramatic.  Sunrise in Miami on June 21 was at 6:30 am, and sunset was at 8:15 pm  Thus, on June 21, the sun rose in Bar Harbor, Maine at 4:49 am, in Baltimore at 5:40 am, and in Miami at 6:30 am.  The difference in sunset is less dramatic. On June 21, the sun went below the horizon in Bar Harbor at 8:21 pm, at Baltimore at 8:37 pm, and at Miami at 8:15 pm.  Don't expect me to explain this difference to you.

For the heck of it, I checked the sunrise and sunset across the Atlantic in London.  On June 21, the sun rose in London at 4:43 am and went below the Horizon at 9:21 pm.  In Krakow, Poland, the sun came above the horizon at 4:30 am and went below the horizon at 8:53 pm.  The source I used for the Krakow data is "timeanddate.com".  The web page notes that it never gets completely dark in Krakow at this time of year.  The site notes, "Today it does not get darker than Astronomical Twilight." in Krakow.

The ten day forecast in Krakow is pretty typical for that beautiful city.  There is one unusually warm day in the forecast - Wednesday, June 28 is supposed to have a high temperature of 89 degrees and a low of 70 degrees - and lots of cooler days that make a person like me quite envious.  Today - and remember that Krakow is six hours ahead of Baltimore - the high is supposed to be 78 and the low 57.  After three days with highs in the 80's, the thermometer is back down in the 70's for highs and the 50's for lows for the rest of the forecast period, save for Friday, July 7, when the high is predicted to be 82 and the low 58.

The weather in London is predicted to be even cooler and, not surprisingly, wetter.  The ten day forecast for the environs of the upper Thames River finds "high" temperatures frequently failing to hit 70 degrees (4 of the first 5 days of the period) and lows always (always!) in the fifties.  As for precipitation, on 9 days of the forecast period, rain chances are 30% or higher.  Only once in the forecast period is the London humidity predicted to be under 50%, and that is today.  By comparison, the Krakow humidity forecast calls for humidity readings below 60% everyday during the period except today.

I like these two European forecasts.  Am I allowed to say this?

The Beauty of the Great Lakes Cannot Completely Hide the Obscene Ultra Left

FREDONIA, New York, Sunday, June 18, 2017 - On a clear, warm late June weekend, the waters of one of the Great Lakes, Lake Erie, glisten like polished diamonds in the late morning sunshine.  Standing on a cliff that is really only six or seven feet above the narrow beach here in Lake Erie State Park, the beautiful but still chilly waters are clear as new glass, and the lake bottom can be clearly seen even when the water depth grows to ten or twelve feet.

People are swimming in Lake Erie before noon and lifeguards scramble to position warning ropes around the so-called shallow parts before anymore swimmers jump in.  To the left, the State of New York has posted an informational sign detailing five or the dozens of shipwrecks that occurred just off these beaches since the founding of the country.

My family has booked rooms in the venerable "White Inn" on Main Street here in Fredonia, New York.  According to written material available at the Inn, it has been in continuous operation since 1868.  It is called the "White Inn" because it is painted white from top to bottom.  While the grounds remain gorgeous, with flowers blooming everywhere, the Inn has abandoned its liquor license and closed its dining room while the current owner debates whether to sink more money into it or take another route with his cash.  The rooms are clean, however, and the breakfast that is served in a large room off the lobby is wonderful for the low cost ($0).

Many of the folk staying here these days, and many of the employees, spend at least some time chatting about certain alleged supernatural residents here at the Inn.  There are two or three rooms which are said to be, well, haunted.  Some of the employees swear they've seen things they don't care to see a second time.  There is no debate that in 1968 there was a murder-suicide here that left a husband and wife at room temperature for the duration.  That is fairly recent as hauntings go, but who is quibbling about a few years here and there?

My family came to Fredonia to celebrate the wedding of two outstanding United States Marines, one from our family and one from a local family.  The Saturday Night affair was one to remember for all the right reasons.

As the dozens of out-of-town wedding goers headed south on Sunday morning, many of us were sad to read that cool Canadian Air was moving back in to the Buffalo-Niagara Falls vicinity on Monday, one day after we headed back to the Mid-Atlantic Heat of Baltimore.

It is quite impossible, I must add, to escape the sad behavior of the Ultra Left, even right here in a blue state like New York.

It is a fact that most Americans - everyone except the denizens of the Ultra Left - do not approve or appreciate the non-stop obscene behavior of the Ultra Left. Plainly, it is not well received.  Even among those who admit to being Democrats, there is no attempt to explain or rationalize the un-American trash their own United States Senator seems to be spearheading.

A lot will spin out of the mid-term elections next year.  For America's sake, we can only hope that the Ultra Left is sent packing from Washington and any other place where they think they are needed, but clearly are not.

If You Voted For Donald Trump, the Ultra Left Hates You

BALTIMORE, Maryland, Thursday, June 14, 2017 - If you are an American, it is assumed that you are a citizen in a Democracy, and that this Democracy has an economic system based on capitalism, If these things are true, you need to be extremely upset about the vicious anti-American anarchy being keyed by the Ultra left and financed by the former 'Mixed Up With the Nazis' Guy, George Soros. They act like they are taking over America.  George Soros thinks and acts like he is king.  The Ultra Left talks about the Koch Brothers and hopes you don't know who George Soros is. More likely, though, they hope you don't have the backbone to pick a fight with George and his Nazi Guy past.   Soros' more well-known functionaries - Schumer, Mueller, Pelosi  - can't seem to get off the National Desk at the Washington Post.  And here, I thought Mueller would at least have enough integrity to limit the leaks, but Soros apparently made those leaks a condition of Mueller getting the gig.  So the leaks continue unabated.

Then, last week, a by-the-book ultra leftist gunned down five people practicing baseball.  Two were GOP Congressmen.  Two were Capital Police Officers, who, despite their injuries, shot and killed the Ultra Leftist.  These two officers define the word "hero".  They are selfless heroes. The fifth victim was with the other four at the baseball practice.

If you are naive, you think this shooting is just an isolated incident.

With the notable exception of Newt Gingrich, none of the so-called party of America - that was the GOP - is pushing back even a little bit.

Didn't Jefferson write about this stuff, the importance of the need for cleansing the gift of liberty in the blood of the revolutionaries?  I think he did.  I might have a bit of the words wrong.  But not too wrong.

The alternative is just sitting.  Watching.  Cowering.  Trembling.  Being Mitch McConnell.  Being Paul Ryan. Being Afraid.  Not being brave.

This Mueller is a real piece of work.  Hiring every Ultra Left Loon Attorney he can look up.  A lot of them have made big contributions to Ultra Left Candidates and Ultra Left Causes.  But my man Trey Gowdy says Mueller is so very good.  Leaks.  Ultra Left Loons getting big contributions.  These typically don't add up to noble acts.  Okay Mr. Gowdy?

He - Mueller - needs to fired, at once.  The best and only reason the President needs is Mueller's failure to refuse to tender his resignation for conflict of interest.  A new poll says two-thirds of all GOP respondents want him canned.  Two -thirds!  Do it now!  Most Americans realize that the former FBI Director is now a potential Defendant, having committed a felonious act by tendering government property to a third-party.  Mueller and Comey are buddies, close, long-time buddies.  And now, Comey is a clear potential defendant.  So Mueller has to either indict Comey or resign because of his conflict.

Mueller's investigation, for it to have even a little little bit of integrity, has to announce that Trump is not a target and that Hillary Clinton certainly is.

Otherwise, he needs to go.

It is out-in-the-open that the Ultra Left is trying to take out Trump.  Trump is duly elected.  His crime in the eyes of the Ultra Left is that he beat them in a national election.  Fair and square.  By the rules.  The lesson for all Americans is that the Ultra Left will do this to anyone who beats them.

Anyone, no matter who he or she is.  If you win, they will trash you and everyone associated with you.  The Ultra Left hates America.  If you voted for Trump, they hate you.

And by the way, this pure trash about obstruction of justice still being pinned on Trump:  It has been fully blown out of the water by Mr. McCarthy and Mr. Limbaugh.  Look to their handi-work for the well-reasoned and foolproof logic, but it centers around the timing of the events.  At the end of January, Comey says he thinks Trump obstructed him.  At the end of March, Comey again told Trump he was not a target of any investigation.  Trump, even by Comey's words, made a quite equivocal statement, and he made it once.  He never re-contacted Comey to see if he was following through because there was nothing to follow through on.  And besides, if Comey really thought he was being obstructed, don't you think he would have told somebody before he got fired?

America at Watershed Moment With Ultra Left in Vice Grip Control of Democratic Party; Szefc Leaves Maryland For Virginia Tech

TOWSON, Maryland, Tuesday, June 13, 2017 - Now that it is crystal clear that the ultra leftists who have taken vice-grip control of what used to be my Democratic Party, the all-out effort to annihilate the Trump Presidency and all who have come to work for it is far easier to see clearly and understand perfectly.

No longer should you view the likes of Chuckie Schumer, Nancy Pelosi, George 'I Really Really Hate America' Soros, and all of their friends and associates, as members of anything approaching what we used to call 'The Loyal Opposition.'  There is absolutely nothing that an American and an Ultra Leftist have in common.  And there is no wondering whether an Ultra Leftist will ever occupy a position of a Loyal Opponent to anything American.  An American loves America, is devoted to its preservation and enhancement, honors its traditions, recognizes the extreme sacrifices made by citizens of all descriptions down through the years, and generally sees the United States of America as a place that his or her future descendants will be proud to inherit and call home.  An Ultra Leftist, on the other hand, wants the America that we know and love to be totally destroyed and wiped from the face of the Earth. An Ultra Leftist is embarrassed by America's accomplishments (which are not viewed as accomplishments),

But maybe the biggest difference between Americans and Ultra Leftists is the manner in which past mistakes are understood.  Americans all believe that mistakes should be made public and settled in public.  Hence, awful mistakes like slavery and discrimination of all kinds are universally seen as bad things.  Americans are proud that the nation actually fought a civil war to rid itself of the despicable practice.  Americans view slavery as an extremely negative mark against the legacy of the nation and against those who owned slaves.  But most Americans still celebrate the awesome accomplishments of pre-Civil War Americans who owned slaves but led the country in the war to free itself from the strangling yoke of English control and set the nascent nation on a path that freed all Americans from slavery and continues to battle discrimination even today.  These Americans recognize the bravery and courage, indeed the tremendous nobleness of the generations of citizens who kept America free from the threats posed by Nazi Germany and the Marxist Nations which existed - and continue to exist - behind the Iron Curtain.

Now, however, America has arrived at another watershed marker in its 241 years of existence.  Long a nation governed by two major political parties, both of these parties have arrived at this moment of history having nearly destroyed themselves.  The Republican Party, in terms of the number of its members voted into office across the country, has arrived at a high-water mark.  At the Federal level, it controls both the Executive and Legislative branches and has a shaky grip on a majority of the members of the United States Supreme Court.  At the State and Local Government levels, the GOP has taken almost total control of America's local governments.  A recent survey found that the Democrats only control state houses in five American states.

Despite these really amazing numerical advantages, the GOP acts as if it is almost embarassed to be in the position it is in.  State GOP governments are known for outstanding records of what Americans call "good government," meaning  that taxes are kept comparatively low while state and municipal officers do what they are supposed to with a minimum of corruption.  The Federal GOP is another story indeed.  The GOP Congress flounders around like lost sheep, and both the Senate and House of Representatives still seem to be controlled by the Democrats.  How ridiculous is it that on the 12th day of June President Trump was finally able to convene a cabinet meeting with no empty chairs.  The meeting started with members going around the table introducing themselves to each other.

How did this happen?  GOP complacency in the face of Democratic foot-dragging.  What's worse, the foot-dragging and stalling was carried out by the Democrats without any sanctions by the GOP majority even being discussed.  The Dems were able to do what they did because they knew they could get away with it.  It was as if the GOP didn't know what to do.

And does anybody need to be reminded about the Obamacare fiasco?  President Trump endorsed the continued House leadership of Rep. Paul Ryan of Indiana.  But Ryan was unable to round up enough votes to get any kind of repeal of Obamacare through the House for what seemed like forever.  When the watered down bill finally was enacted by the House, the GOP Senate pronounced the measure dead on arrival in the upper chamber.
Does anybody with even a half a clue as to what is going on doubt the way I have broken this down?  It would be hard to fathom if you do doubt it.

These are some of the manifestations of this awful situation. In Moscow, Russian Strongman Vladimir Putin has had his chief opponent, Alexei Navalny, arrested after the  urged tens of thousands of protesters "to take to the streets across Russia in support of his plan to unseat President Vladimir Putin." This, according to United Press International.  Navalny is said to be Putin's number one political opponent and has already announced his intention to run against Putin in next year's Russian elections.

Putin, who is 64, has not announced whether he will seek a fourth term as Russia's President.

UPI, quoting from the Washington Post, says police "arrested Navalny because he encouraged protesters to gather on a Moscow street not approved for the anti-corruption demonstration,"

"Russia's state-run Sputnik news agency said officials rejected applications for protest venues because events celebrating Russia Day were already being held at the venues requested. Protesters, rejecting the suggested alternative venues, gathered in unapproved locations. Sputnik reported the protesters became violent when they were told to disperse and some were arrested.

"Navalny said that though the city gave permission for a demonstration, every company from which he tried to rent stage and sound equipment told him the mayor's office prevented them from doing business with the protesters.

"Police arrested Navalny outside his home, his wife said."

The news about Navalny is not the only breaking news.  Supporters of President Trump are closely examining previous leaks of classified information, and any connection that fired FBI Chief James Comey may have to them.

This all comes in the wake of Comey's testimony last Thursday before a Senate Committee.  At that hearing, Comey admitted to having leaked previously unknown documents to a Columbia University Professor.  The Professor, whom Comey said was an intermediary, then forwarded the leaked documents to the New York Times. The Trumpsters looking into whether Comey is a serial leaker are aware that other leaks became news stories by the same New York Times reporter who broke the story based on the leak that Comey fessed up to on Thursday.  There are striking similarities.

The outstanding John Hinderaker of the Powerline Blog has other revelations arising out of Comey's salacious testimony. Hinderaker's primary revelation centers on compelling evidence that Comey lied during his testimony.  Before the Senate Committee testimony, Comey had circulated a seven page written version of what that testimony would be.  In the seven page, single-spaced document, Comey said he did not create memorandums after meeting with President Obama.  When Comey testified before the Committee, his recollections were expanded.  He said he also did not create memorandums for his one meeting with President Bush.  But, as Hinderaker reports, that testimony was not true.

Read Hinderaker's entire account at powerlineblog.com/archives/2017/06/proof-that-james-comey-misled-the-senate-intelligence-committee.php

And then there is this.  In an opinion piece penned for Fox News, former Speaker of the House of Representatives Newt Gingrich was highly critical of the extremely cozy relationship between fired FBI Director James Comey and Special Counsel Robert Mueller.  Rarely has anyone written with so much candor on this shocking topic.  The two are longtime friends and associates who, when working together, have managed to bungle some really big cases.  In the Anthrax Prosecution after the 9-11 disaster, Comey led an investigation that was so badly flawed that the guilty party was never identified.  What's worse, some of the stunts he tried to pin guilt on a man who could not have been guilty ended up as a total embarrassment to the FBI.  According to reports, Comey had two dogs in California brought to the office of the man he was trying to pin the crimes on.  When the man petted the dogs, it was said they had identified the man as the guilty party.  He was never indicted.  See the Gingrich post at http://www.foxnews.com/opinion/2017/ 06/09/gingrich-america-is-on-knifes-edge-will-republicans-have-guts-to-stand-with-trump.html

Gingrich's revelations have increased talk that President Trump might decide to fire Mueller.  If he does, it is sure to ignite a firestorm.  And yet, Mueller has apparently taken to hiring every hardcore leftist lawyer he can find.  Many of the names on his list have made humongous political contributions to President Obama and other leftist loudmouths.  It is almost as if Mueller is trying to provoke a showdown with Trump.  If that is his strategy, it is likely that Trump will oblige him.

In the meantime, the Ultra Left is going ga-ga about an off-broadway play in New York that features the brutal murder of a character who is a thinly disguised stand-in for President Trump.  Several large corporations have hurriedly withdrawn funding for the production, including American Express, Delta Airlines and Bank of America.  The play was being staged at New York City's 'Public Theatre' in Central Park.

Sports: Szefc Leaves Maryland for Virginia Tech Baseball Coaching Post
The Maryland Athletic Program has lost baseball coach John Szefc, 49, to a struggling Virginia Tech program.  In making his announcement, Szefc candidly pointed to Tech's position in the Atlantic Coast Conference as a key ingredient in his decision.  Maryland has recently left the ACC in favor of joining the Big Ten Conference.

Maryland had given Szefc a raise of just over a quarter of a million dollars after last season.  In his five years in College Park, Szefc led Maryland three NCAA tournament berths.  In two of those seasons, Maryland advanced to the Super Regionals after winning Regional Tournaments.  In both of those Regional Wins, Maryland was not the home team and had to defeat the home team to advance.  Before Szefc was hired, Maryland had won a total of one NCAA Tournament game, and had come through a stretch of 31 straight losing seasons.  Things had gotten so bad that Maryland was not even qualifying for their conference tournaments.

At Virginia Tech, Szefc will inherit a struggling program with an outstanding facility that was recently given an $18 million upgrade.   At his welcoming news conference, Szefc paid homage to the "beauty of the campus and the Blacksburg community."

Virginia Tech was most recently in the NCAA Tournament in 2013.  Szefc will replace Pat Mason, who had compiled a 90-126-1 record at Tech.  At Maryland, Szefc was 180 games in five seasons, including a school record 42 wins in 2015.  Maryland also won 40 games in 2014 and extended eventual National runner-up to three games in the super regional played in Charlottesville.  Szefc had led the Terps past South Carolina in the Regional that season.  In 2015, the Terps won the regional at powerful UCLA.  After missing the NCAA Tournament in 2016, Maryland was given an at-large bid this past season, but were eliminated after two losses to Regional Runner-up West Virginia.  The Terps finished this season with a record of 38-23.

In Washington, the Comey Charade Shows How Far America Has Fallen Under the Sorry Spell of the Ultra Left

Thursday, June 9, 2017 - The hearings in Washington, which should be entitled and deserve to be entitled: Democrats Audition as Circus Ringmasters," got underway on Wednesday and really took center stage today when fired FBI Chief James Comey - now controlled by the Ultra Leftists Who Run the Democrat Party - began his testimony.  Several USA intelligence chiefs - people from the NSA and CIA, among others, all testified on Wednesday that the President never once threatened them, ask them, or tried to intimidate them in anyway.  This was particularly true with regard to the investigation of the supposed collusion.  The quite (but not Ultra) liberal and quite learned Harvard Law Professor, Alan M. Dershowitz, said today over the lunchtime break of the Comey celebrity testimony before Congress, that President Trump would have been well within his power and authority if he had, in fact, demanded that Comey drop the investigation of General Michael Flynn.  He could have pardoned Flynn or taken a number of other dramatic steps.  But he did not take these steps.  Others have said that Trump would have been well within his rights and authority if he merely ask Comey to expedite or speed up his investigation because - as both Comey and Trump recall - the "Russian" business was greatly curtailing his ability to move forward with his duties as a new President.

Today, the star of the celebrity testimony festival took center stage.  He seemed overmatched by his assignment as FBI Director.  For instance, he actually admitted that he sent the memorandums he prepared after some of his meetings with the President to some "friend" at Columbia University.  This is a felony.  Does Comey know that?

Comey admitted that he was fearful of Trump and uncomfortable and afraid of being alone with him.  In eight years, Comey said he had all of two face-to-face meetings with President Obama.  He had three times that many with Trump.  But he was afraid.

All of this nonsense is supposed to be about the alleged "collusion" between President Trump and the Russians.  Comey's firing, according to the Democrats, was to short-circuit that investigation.  The FBI is investigating the alleged hacking of the fall election by Russia, and whether people in the Trump campaign colluded with the Russians to steal the election by Hillary Clinton.  But no one asked Comey about the investigation and whether he or the FBI was aware of whether there was any actual interference by the Russians of the said elections.  So, while we all wait for someone to say, again, whether there was any actual interference (President Obama and his Security Chief, James Clapper, have both said there was no interference.  Despite the stature of both men in the Democratic Party, Hillary Clinton continues to say that the Russians "stole" the election from her.  A document leaked by an 'outed" leaker, Reality Winter, confirms that the Russians had actually attempted to hack into voting machines sometime before the autumn elections. Ms. Winter has been arrested.  Those familiar with the case say that in that instance the Russians were no trying to alter results but were instead trying to learn how things worked.  President Obama and Mr. Clapper were aware of that effort when they fgave their assurances to the American electorate priot to election day.  But neither man was aware that Trump would defeat Clinton on election day.  Before the election, and anticipating Hillary Clinton's predicted victory, they wanted her not to have a Russian interference with the election process hanging over her head.  Once Trump won, they didn't give a lick about such problems.

There were more than one instances during the morning session when Comey declined to answer a question "in public."  In several of those instances, it was almost certain that the answers would have strongly benefited President Trump.

Before Comey testified today he released a seven page, single-spaced "statement," which was described as a compilation of all that he had to say.  The statement was pompous but inevitably pulled the rug out from anyone trying to mount an impeachment case against the President.

How ludicrous is all of this, anyway?  The man was duly elected and millions upon millions of Americans voted for him to give him that victory.  But Trump wasn't in office more than just a few days when the out-of-favor party actually started talking about their goal of impeaching him.

Even as the Obama Care health bill - the supposed high point of the eight Obama years - melts down before the nations' eyes, the Democrats refuse to make any meaningful contribution to replacing it.  They insist, as a prerequisite of their participation, that no effort at repealing the knuckle-headed Marxist hit piece be made by the majority party, even though that is what they have been sent to Washington to do.

All along, in this column, we have attempted to describe the implications of the ascendancy of the Ultra Left.  If anyone is going to understand exactly what is going on in America today, they must begin with an understanding that the people now running the Democratic Party are an insulated group of radicals who hate These United States, abhor its traditions and values, and will stop at nothing in their effort to knock America off the top of the International Pyramid.  They will do anything they can, including all of the things Obama did which were completely beyond his authority under both the Constitution and American Statutory Law.

Before Obama, would any prior American President sign such a far-reaching and incomprehensibly expensive treaty such as the Paris Climate Accord without submitting it to Congress for ratification?  Would any of the presidents who negotiated the wonderful arms control treaties with the Russians not submit them to Congress?  Obama went on over to Paris and tried to bind the USA to spending billions and billions of dollars, and he did it alone. The great Obama put his name on a piece of paper and, in doing so, locked this nation into an exchange of national value that would have lasted decades.  One nation, India, for example, was going to get billions and billions of American dollars.  We earn it and give it away, all because one man jotted down his name.  We have never done things that way.  Do you think for a second that anyone would sit still and allow Trump to do that?

French Police Shoot Man Outside Notre-Dame Cathedral After He Attacks Them With Hammer

BALTIMORE, Maryland, Tuesday, June 6, 2017 - The Telegraph in London and other European Publications Report that French Police have shot a man outside of Notre-Dame Cathedral in Paris late Tuesday afternoon after he attacked at least one officer with a hammer.

The Telegraph posted the first report of the incident at 3:47 pm London Time, or 10:47 am on the East Coast of These United States.  An eyewitness told the Telegraph that he saw a man down outside of the Cathedral seconds after he heard an explosion-like sound that he conceded could have been gunfire.

The main square outside of the Cathedral has now been evacuated, the Telegraph reported on-line.

There was no word on the attacker's condition or whether any police officer was injured.  The incident comes only days after Islamic Terrorists killed some seven people on London Bridge in England.

Sad Situation in USA Worsens as Ultra Left Democrats Pursue Trump Like a Common Criminal; Maryland Eliminated From NCAA Baseball Tournament; Burnley To Play Second Straight Season in Premier League

Tuesday, June 6, 2017 - Here we go:  Trump agrees to a Special Prosecutor.  And he is former FBI Director Robert B. Muellar.  Concerning this and several other current events, I offer the following:

The Ultra Leftist Anti-Americans who live in their specially constructed lair at the top left of the political spectrum know what they will be saying when the Special Prosecutor makes his benign final report.  This final report by Mr. Muellar will begin by praising the patriotism of the Ultra Left in making these ridiculous charges.  Mr. Muellar will also say that it shows how great America is for being able to fully vet these absurdities right out there in the public eye.  And Robert B.  will also thank President Trump for being so magnanimous with his time and resources.

Or something like that.  Trump had no choice, of course; his Presidency depends on his responses.  He hopes he may be accorded some time - soon - to attend to the needs of the USA.  But were I him, I would not hold my breath.

(And let me explain here what I mean by "ridiculous charges."  I assume that people who allege that the Russians attempted to compromise the American Presidential Election made the charges in good faith and while possessing certain knowledge which makes such charges at least reasonably logical.  I understand that a document or documents which make such charges reasonable have actually been leaked by a woman with a security clearance.  That woman has been arrested.  See, for example: http://www.breitbart.com/big-government/2017/06/05/first-deep-state-arrest-government-contractor-busted-leaking-nsa-docs-to-the-intercept/

Many other web pages have the same story about Ms. Reality Winter, some told from different political vantage points.)

Left unsaid, by holding everything down like a great behemoth squatted upon the American Justice System will be Hillary Clinton, who was such a filthy sore loser that she went ahead and put America through this special prosecutor mess for no good reason other than she just couldn't bare to lose the Presidential Election to President Trump. Were the Russians up to no good? Of course they were.  They are always up to something no good.  I know that I was very impressed by the probing questions and learned responses provided to viewers of the debate thing NBC televised Sunday night; you know the one I'm talking about, the one that featured Vlad Putin and Megan Kelly.

Anyway, Hillary is angry that she lost the Presidential Election, again.  Will she take a chance at losing a third time? Perish the thought!

Oh that Hillary!  She hates liars so much that she has begun looking in the mirror so she can hate herself.  Her close friend, James Comey (or as the essential Mark Levin has begun calling him, "J. Edgar Comey.")

Some congress people sent J. Edgar some questions he was supposed to answer in writing in advance of his televised celebrity testifying event on Thursday Morning.  But J. Edgar said he wasn't going to do that since he is now a private citizen.  But he was not a private system when he supposedly drafted certain written memos he allegedly has.  Just Saying.

I believe it is Thursday that J. Edgar is trundling up to Congress for his celebrity testifying event.  Entertainment Networks like ABC and CBS are allegedly going to pre-empt regular programming to televise this event.  Some have alleged that he is also working with the media to make sure they get more bang for their buck since they are giving up advertising dollars from the shows they are pre-empting.  I don't know the specifics of these charges.

Al Gore, the Vice-President when Bill Clinton was a two-term president, was on largely unwatched celebrity weekend interview TV a few days back.  He exhibited a new celebrity Southern Accent.  He said he doesn't own his own jet and when he has to fly he regularly uses Southwest Airlines.  I'd love to hear from anybody who actually saw Al on a Southwest Flight.  I actually do fly on Southwest and I've never seen him.  Have you?

*The University of Maryland's Baseball Team did not win the Wake Forest Regional of the NCAA's College World Series.  The Terps - and the UMBC Retrievers - were among the 64 teams selected to play in the Tournament, which began last weekend with 16 4-team double-elimination regional tournaments.  Both the Terps and Retrievers were placed in the Winston Salem Regional, hosted by Wake Forest.  The Demon Deacons were the top seed, West Virginia was the No. 2 Seed, Maryland the No. 3 Seed and UMBC the No. 4 Seed.  Play began Friday when West Virginia routed Maryland and Wake Forest routed UMBC.  On Saturday afternoon, Maryland eliminated UMBC with a 16-3 rout.  On Saturday night, Wake Forest beat West Virginia, 4-3.  On Sunday afternoon, Maryland jumped ahead of West Virginia, 4-0, and still lead, 4-3, entering the 8th inning.  But the Terps fell behind, 8-4, entering the bottom of the ninth.  They got a lead-off homer by Nick Dunn and then a single and double, putting runners at second and third, with one out.  But it ended there, and Maryland lost, 8-5, ending its season.  Which ever team won that game would have had to beat the home-standing Deacons twice to win the tournament.  The Mountaineers couldn't do it, losing Sunday Night to Wake, 12-5.
It was the first time in John Szefc's years at Maryland that the Terps qualified for the NCAA but did not win its regional.  By comparison, before Szefc Maryland only won one NCAA Game.

*Burnley avoided relegation from the Premier League, and for the first time in a very long time the Claret will play a second consecutive season in the Premier.  That being said, Burnley did not finish strong and lost the final match of the campaign to West Ham, 2-1.  Despite the finish, there is profound joy in Lancashire, not only for the upcoming Premier Campaign, but also because Keeper Tom Heaton is on the England Roster as it competes in the summer's World Cup qualifying matches.  Also, Sam Vokes is on the Wales Roster as it, too, competes for a World Cup berth.
