Southern Border Besieged; Mueller Preps Half-Witted Far Left "Output"; Maryland Soccer In NCAA Quarterfinals; Ravens Have QB Issues

BALTIMORE, Maryland Monday, November 26, 2018 It is an explosive time.  Not a day dawns when some sort of societal explosion isn't either immediately past and requiring reaction, or immediately pending and demanding preparation and pre-reaction.

Sunday, the explosions included the attempt by dozens (hundreds?) of Central Americans attempting to storm and invade the American Border.  The USA border patrol was pelted with rocks and bottles and other projectiles, to the point where they elected to send in tear gas to clear the mob. The Mexican Authorities, themselves put upon by the unwelcomed multitude, thousands of whom have ensconced themselves in Tijuana, arrested some 39 of the Central Americans who stormed the border, and have let it be known that all of those arrested will be promptly deported.  News subsequently got out that the Mexicans have sent some 500 packing.  Who'd have thought?

But news also worked its way out that this mobile mob - now ensconced, as we say, in Mexico - is being funded by the American Anarchist and former Nazi operative George Soros and others of his low brow ilk.  That is downright predictable, isn't it now?  Sometime, some day, some noble soul will do what needs to be done to have him incarcerated.  Maybe, if we're real lucky, some person will that fine and noble deed sooner rather than later!

The President tweeted in the aftermath of the failed invasion earlier in the week that he is contemplating a permanent closure of the Southern Border, at least the designated entry point being abused at the present moment in California.  He repeated his oft-stated appeal for funds to complete the Southern Border Wall.
I cannot commend the Border Guard more.  Their bravery under extreme duress was remarkable.  Their measured response was also outstanding.  Even the response of Mexican Authorities was commendable if, in fact, they follow through on their stated intentions.

Some of the half-wits running the Anti-American Media Disinformation Campaign (Insert the name of your favorite Mainstream Media Personality - teehee - ) have "stated" that USA Border Guards should not have fired tear gas when women and children were among the invading horde. If only Attila the Hun had known of this advantage, he could have had one of his lads' wives ride with them.  If European Defenders had seen such a woman, they'd have laid down their arms.

Another Crises in the immediate offing is the expected report of the laughable Special Counsel, Robert Mueller.  Jack Posobiec of One American News is reporting that one of Mueller's supposed targets, the author Jerome Corsi, has instead filed a federal suit against the lamentable sleaze-bag, Mueller.  I do hope that all of Mueller's ultra-left henchmen are also named in the suit.

Former Federal Prosecutor Joseph DiGenova noted on today's Hannity radio show that Trump had won a major victory when he cornered Mueller into accepting written responses to agreed-upon questions in lieu of a formal deposition.  Unless Mueller, or the Democrats in the House, are willing to make a huge fool of themselves, it has become clear that no effort will be made to proceed against the President or to set the stage for an impeachment action in the House of Representatives after the Dems take control in January.

The Democrats making a fool of themselves while trying to "get" the President?  Wow, who could imagine that?

That is the wild card in all of this.  Trump and his folk - Giuliani, etc. - have come to understand just how crazy the far left is.  More than once they have led the left up to the edge of the cliff, then stood aside while the left kept going - right off the edge and into the nearby abyss.

A Bit of Sports:  Maryland did not have its typically great soccer season.  I, for one, was far from sure they would get a berth in the NCAA Tournament.  But they did get a berth and, to my surprise, a No. 11 seed.  That earned the Terps a first round bye in the 48-team single elimination tournament.  It also got them a second-round home game against the winner of Campbell and North Carolina State.  State won narrowly against the Camels, earning them a trip to College Park.  Maryland beat the Wolfpack, 2-0.

The win earned Maryland a third-round match-up at No. 5 seed Duke.  Maryland won, again, by the same 2-0 margin.

Now the Terps are in the NCAA Quarterfinals.  Friday evening at 6 pm Maryland will be at the No. 3 Seed, Kentucky.  A win there puts Maryland in yet another College Cup.  A team that finished the regular season with an inauspicious 8-6-4 record is now poised on the precipice of another National Title.

Just as stunning is the make-up of the Elite Eight in this year's tournament.  The elite ACC has been bludgeoned and is down to a single team: Notre Dame.  Meanwhile, the Big Ten - hardly a soccer powerhouse - can claim three of the final eight: Maryland, Indiana and Michigan State.  The other four teams of the Great Eight include James Madison, Akron, Stanford and, as mentioned, Kentucky.

Really, they are.  Just a couple of weeks ago Maryland supporters thought the loss, on penalty kicks, to Big Ten Regular Season Champion Indiana, in the early rounds of the Big Ten Tournament, had ended the soccer season for the Terrapins.  A few days later, I didn't even watch or pay attention to the Selection Show, where the field of 48 is announced for the national tournament.  Later in the evening I was stunned to silence when a graphic crawl restating the field included Maryland.  My surprise turned to double blinks when the same graphic said that Maryland not only made the field but had earned a first round bye and a home game in the second round.  Say what?

But there it was: Maryland would have six days to prepare to meet the winner of North Carolina State and Campbell.  The game would be on Sunday afternoon in College Park.  Per my usual bad habit, I didn't turn up at the game until the half, by which time Maryland was ahead, 1-0.  The second half was all Maryland, even though they had the lead.  Mid-way through the second half the Terps scored again.  It was off to Duke, which would struggle past Pacific, 1-0, meaning Maryland would not get a second home game.  It didn't matter, Maryland won again by the same 2-0 score.

Ravens Prep for Battle in Atlanta. Here in Baltimore, the locals are getting revved up about the brewing quarterback controversy on the hometown Ravens.  Currently holding the final AFC playoff berth, the Ravens have long rode the strong right arm of Joe Flacco.  But Flacco is injured and in his stead he has been replaced by No. 1 Draft Choice Lamar Jackson.  Under Jackson the Ravens have won two straight and are at Atlanta on Sunday.

By Wednesday's Raven practice, Flacco was still not medically cleared to return.  Still, Harbaugh has not named his starter for the game.  I believe he wants to force the struggling Falcons to have to prepare for both Flacco and Jackson.  It is my hunch that he wants the Falcons to think Flacco is the likely starter even though it is likely that the vet will not even dress for the game.  Harbaugh has stated that Flacco must practice before he would be allowed to start a game.

Problems at the University of Maryland; Huge Problems Complicated by Weak Spines

BALTIMORE, Maryland Saturday, November 3, 2018 - On the coastal plain here in Maryland, the autumn weather has again flipped to a bracing cold.  Those preoccupied with subtle accuracies would say it is seasonably cool; i.e., pretty much what you would expect it to be at this time of year. I'm no longer young and I remember early Novembers when the ground was already covered with glistening snow.  Anybody whose been around the block as many times as me will quickly recite the fact that a World Series game was snowed out in 1979.  But I can also recall warm weather in early November; and I am not talking about 'warm for November,' I am talking about warm for any time of the year.  In '79, once the Series ended, Baltimore went through a patch of so-called Indian Summer when the mercury soared into the eighties.  Really, it did.

For those with the good sense to take in this time of year - even to enjoy it - it is a wonderful time. It is my favorite time.  The leaves here turn late and many are in their glory now while others are just finishing.  The fall weather, sadly, does not linger long.  But while with us, it invigorates, braces, even rejuvenates.

Around here this year, however, there are two storylines that almost demand our attention no matter the glory of the Lord's day.  Locally, the grand university of the State of Maryland has stepped in it once again.  Just when anybody who has even a passing interest in the sport of football ought to be in the stands or in front of a TV watching as the brown leather ball is thrown or kicked back and forth, the lads at Maryland have managed to direct public attention to corporate board rooms and State Houses, where people charged with making unnecessarily complicated decisions have managed to really create a stinking mess.

I do not have the stomach to restate the whole lurid plot that has led to this point.  But, briefly, there was a tragedy last May in which a young athlete lost his promising life.  He was attempting to run wind sprints during a spring football practice when he was overcome by heat.  He collapsed and several days later, he died.  Since the moment the athlete passed, the fingers of blame have been pathetically flying all about.  It is an awful and embarrassing sight.  The University of Maryland and eleven other publicly run colleges and universities are administered by a 'Board of Regents," all of whom are appointed by Maryland's Governor.  Some of those on the Board were appointed by former Governor Martin O'Malley and the rest were appointed by current Governor Lawrence Hogan.  After months of "deliberations," this Board of Regents reached a preliminary decision to terminate the Maryland Football Coach, D.J. Durkin, the Athletic Director, Damon Evans, and University President Wallace Loh.

But before actually doing the deed, the Regents decided to come together and allow each of the three men a chance to address the Board en masse.  At this meeting, Durkin's address was so enthralling that the Regents changed their minds, or, at least some of them did, and instead of what they originally had been inclined to do - fire all three men - the Regents announced that they would keep Durkin and Evans while informing Loh that he could stay on until this coming June provided he did nothing to stand in Durkin or Evans ways.  Loh told the Board he would agree to this.

When this decision was communicated, the you-know-what hit the fan and a mob scene ensued.  Durkin tried to address the football team but a bunch of his players walked out.  A player said to be a "whistle-blower" was attacked by other players and injured.  At least this is what has been reported.  By the following day, Loh fired Durkin.  Evans remains, it has been reported.  But really, who knows?  In fact, who knows who is in charge.  It has been reported that a point of contention and blame is the fact that on the day the athlete, Jordan McNair, 19, succumbed, he was not placed in a so-called submersion tub, filled with cold water.  The tub was not available because, we are told, the site of the practice was changed at the last minute and the training staff said it did not have enough time to get the tub to the field.

Apparently there are factions on the team and apparently these factions have more or less "led" the team in Durkin's absence.

One does not need to be a genius to understand that the University's athletic program, especially its football program, is in trouble for the near future.

Many are aware that in the wake of McNair's death, the far-left folk at ESPN did an "expose" which pointed to a "toxic" environment within the Maryland Football program.  According to the far-left Baltimore Sun, athletes on the team were reluctant to air concerns for fear that the coaches would hold it against them.

Let it be pointed out that Durkin has only been at Maryland since December, 2015.  The program he took over was on a downbound train.  Yet in the few short months that Durkin was in charge his detractors say he created a "toxic culture."  The toxic culture that those insightful folk at ESPN spoke of in their report - the one they put on TV not long after McNair's passing (and never let it be said that ESPN let a catastrophe like McNair's death go by without piling on) - did not bother to compare the way that Durkin ran Maryland's football program with the way other similar programs around the nation are administered.

How about that?  The whole thing stunk so much it was truly pathetic.  Durkin coached two years - two seasons - after taking over a sinking ship. I don't know a lot about his background, except for the fact that he came from Jim Harbaugh's program at Michigan.

I'm not defending Durkin's coaching.  The idea that on a hot day the football program ran wind sprints without an essential medical tool at their beck and ready, is indefensible.  The medical tool - the immersion tub that can immerse a heat stroke victim in cold water immediately after he is stricken - was not at the field where McNair was stricken because the location of the practice was said to have changed at the last.

What any of that had to do with a toxic culture is unclear.  There was, however, clear indication that factions had formed on the team, and these factions had developed strong opinions about the cause of McNair's death.

It is clear that the coaching staff did not recognize the seriousness of McNair's condition.  The coaches thought McNair was dogging it on the day he went down.  No one moved quickly to get him help. By the time he did get the kind of medical intervention that is available in Maryland - although a small state, Maryland is home to the near-legendary "Shock Trauma" center at the University of Maryland, not to mention Johns Hopkins Medical School and Johns Hopkins Hospital. McNair was taken to Shock Trauma, but despite heroic efforts by attending doctors, his organs began to fail and within days the young athlete lost his battle to survive.

When a booster who wanted or expected royal treatment - a seat on the team jet to an away football game this fall - was found to have been the same person who made a terrible remark about McNair's supposed culpability in his own death, players insisted he not ride on the jet with the players.  He did not.

I have no problem with that.  Why was he on the bloody jet to begin with?  But it was players who essentially told him to bug off, not the coaches or administration.

When Durkin was returned to his position by the Board of Regents - a move signed off on by Wallace Loh, the same man who fired Durkin one day later, right before he quit himself - the players again intervened.  Or some of the players, at least.  One player who didn't agree was beat up by teammates.  The rest of the team and others not charged with making the decision about Durkin, all screamed blue murder.  The Governor of Maryland, the sometimes weak-spined Lawrence Hogan, was all fired up.  Perhaps Hogan should've paid some attention to the Maryland Troops summonsed to the Southern Border by the President of These United States.  The troops went, as directed.  Then, with virtually no explanation, Hogan called them home.  In case you've missed the news, the Southern Border of this country is actually under siege by tens of thousands of 'migrants.' National Guard troops from all over are responding, as are tens of thousands of regular military troops. But Hogan brings Maryland's defenders home.

With everybody screaming, Loh called Durkin.  One day before he told the Board of Regents he backed their decision to keep Durkin.  One day later, he changed his mind and fired Durkin.  Evans is still employed.

There are huge problems at Maryland.

The Life of These United States Hinges on Keeping the Ultra Left Out of Power

BALTIMORE, Maryland Friday, October 19, 2018 - Well, the further along we go - the closer to Election Day we get - the more difficult it becomes to even consider a rational grounded person casting a vote that would assist the Democrats returning to power in Congress.

Since President Trump was inaugurated, the USA's economy has improved dramatically.

As in 'very dramatically.'

Since Trump came to power, the USA foreign policy has regained a rational footing, and nations around the world have again began to look to Washington to prevent insanity ruling the day on the international scene.  North Korea is on the way to being tamed.  Iran has been confronted, and although there remains the possibility that those crazed Anti-Semitic fools could pull the proverbial fast one and launch a weapon at Israel, the chances of that happening grow less with each passing day.  At the very least, we have identified the true enemy there, and have confronted them.

Two larger, more well known vexations: China and Russia, have returned to their well-earned places on the view screen.  In this position, their every move is noted and analyzed.  Whenever they make a move that threatens these United States, that move is confronted.  Rational minds rule the day at the Pentagon and at the State Department.

In the past, there were those who tried with all their might to paint the GOP in its as being the same thing as a racist organization doing all it could to discriminate against every minority group.  Under the Trump Administration, Black and Hispanic Employment have reached record numbers; at no time in the entire history of these United States have a higher percentage of Black and Hispanic Americans been gainfully employed.  These are numbers that Obama should have reached, even if he did nothing else.  Instead, it almost seemed as if nothing could have been less important.

Being the minority party, one waits for an announcement about what the Democrats are proposing.  First, we hope they give us a clue about what problem it is they propose to confront.  Once the problem is identified, then we will await the plans the Democrats have for confronting it.  If uou had the misfortune of seeing Paul Krugman's interview with Nancy Pelosi, the very idea that this over-the-hill individual would be returned to a position of power is very sad.

The Democrats as a whole have fallen out of the places they need to be to make decisions for the most powerful nation on Earth.  Instead of cool, rational decision making, the Democrats have cozied up to crazed thugs and even more crazed mobs.  I have never seen anything like it.  What has gotten into them?

Sadly, indeed ominously, I know exactly what has gotten into them:  The Anti-Amercan Ultra-Left.

As I have said over and over again in these pages, I am a liberal  It used to be that the views I espoused were at the very limits of rational.  I was "way out there," as people on the 'other side' often reminded me.  No more.  Now, my views are in the middle, or even on the conservative side of middle-of-the-road.  For a while that worried me.  But I realized I haven't changed.  But my party raced past me and landed far far to the left of me.  And there they have stayed.  Every view they espouse is out in the never-never land of absurd far left stuff.  The Democrats are so far to the left of normal that they would not recognize the middle of the road if they stumbled over it.

If they somehow come back into power, either by taking over the Congress or the Presidency, the USA will be able to see the end of the road, and it will be coming up fast in the front windshield.  If you doubt what I say, tell me what policy they now espouse that will improve the country and the life of its inhabitants.

The Democrats want to downsize and weaken the USA military.  Obama did lots of damage to the military, and one or two more terms with HIllary running the show would have allowed Russia and China race past us as great military powers on the Earth.  When Trump took over, we had been downsizing the military for eight years.  During this same time period, Russia, China, Iran and other nations have been gearing up their militaries to overtake any nation trying to protect democracy and justice (they are generally the same thing, yuo know.)

How bad are the Ultra Left Democrats?  Get out any book about what the ultra left stands for, what they do, etc., and you will recogzize the once-great American Democratic Party.

Remember this when you go into the voting booth a couple of weeks hence.  For America to continue to be the bastion of freedom and justice, the ultra leftists running the Democratic Party must not be allowed to regain power. Violence is seeping out of these leftists.  That cannot take root here.

Hopefully, if the USA survives November, change will come to the Democratic Party.  A movement to oust the Ultra Left will commence.

At least we can hope for this.,

What Has Happened to These United States?

BALTIMORE, Maryland Friday, October 12, 2018:  There are so many facts - as well as factual opinions - that I wish to disseminate, that I will use a modified format here to get it all out.  Please bear with me.

       1.  As almost everybody around the world knows, by now, the United States Senate, on a strict roll call vote, approved the nomination of Brett Kavanaugh to a seat on the United States Supreme Court.  The final vote tally was 50-48.  The vote was taken on Saturday, October 6, 2018.  On October 5, 2018, two senators made public their decisions to vote in favor of Judge Kavanaugh - who had served for over one decade on the Washington, D.C. Federal Court of Appeals - virtually ensuring that his nomination would be approved.  Senator Susan Collins of Maine delivered an in depth and spellbinding speech late Friday afternoon, at the conclusion of which she announced that she would vote for the Judge.  The speech analyzed, in depth, all of the arguments against Judge Kavanaugh, as well as a factual refutation of each such argument.  Shortly after the Collins address, the only Democrat to vote in favor of confirmation, Senator Joe Manchin, III, of West Virginia, revealed his decision.  When those two favorable votes were added to the previously announced total of GOP votes in favor, Judge Kavanaugh was home.  It did not matter to him when bumbling, spineless Alaskan Senator Lisa Murkowski became the only Republican not to vote in favor of Kavanaugh.  With raw courage, Murkowski voted "present."  Montana Senator Steve Daines, a strong Kavanaugh supporter, missed the vote because he was home, in Montana, walking his daughter down the aisle at her wedding.  He was prepared to jet back to Washington in time to vote for Kavanaugh had his vote mattered in the outcome.  The two commitments the judge received on Friday meant that the hurried flight was not essential.

       2.  The display of openly mob-like behavior after the Senate vote culminated weeks of similar hysteria by Democratic operatives, much of it apparently funded by Democratic Strong Man (and World War II Nazi operative George Soros)..  With the highly anticipated Mid-Term elections now less than one month away, this deplorable show appears to have literally shot the Democrats in the foot.  Only months ago it appeared that the Democrats would be able to elect a majority in the United States House of Representatives, and possibly even the U.S. Senate.  Numerous nationwide opinion polls showed these results to be assured.  Then came the Kavanaugh debate and vote in the Senate Judiciary Committee.  Almost to a person, each Democrat on the committee joined with a wild mob sitting in the gallery, to harass, attempt to intimidate, and otherwise physically force each GOP Senator to vote against Kavanaugh, while at the same time to so harass and embarass Kavanaugh that he would certainly choose to withdraw his candidacy rather than to continue to put himself and his wife and two young daughters through such outrageous behavior.  Though the Democrats outdid even their own historic records of mob behavior, neither the GOP Senators nor Kavanaugh gave in.  It was revealed that much of the mob mustered in Washington was being financed by Democratic Money-man and de facto leader George Soros.  The multi-billionaire - who is a former Nazi sympathizer and operative froom World War II days - is an admitted anarchist and is willing to pour his billions into any effort that supports his views. Why the GOP allows the Democrats to rely - almost unchallenged -  on a man with such a background is beyond my comprehension.

       3. Hurricane Michael ripped into the Florida Panhandle just 20 miles from Panama City Beach on Friday afternoon, leaving a wide swath of almost incomprehensible destruction in its wake.  The actual point where the huge Category 5 Storm came to shore is a small town known as Mexico Beach, and those who saw the devastation at that small settlement were left virtually speechless.  Nothing was left.  The storm killed at least 7, and the only reason the death toll was this low was the inspiring level of preparation overseen by Florida Governor Rick Scott and his large group of Floridians, as well as the Federal Emergency Management Agency.  The latter was ordered into action well in advance of the arrival of Michael by President Trump.  FEMA was well-funded and, additionally, President Trump had told Governor Scott that if he needed anything else for his preparation, all he needed to do was ask.  Thus, as soon as First Responders were able to swing into action as the storm moved on, they did so with every imaginable supply at their beck and ready.

       4.  As was discussed above, the lead-up to the Mid-Term Elections on November 6 has been absolutely furious.  Both national political parties are sparing no expense in the many states were Senate Races are in play and being contested.  And, of course, every seat in the United States House of Representatives is up for a vote, since the term in office for such politicians is only two years.  As the campaigning began about one year ago it appeared, on the surface, that the Democrats would swing control of the House from the Republicans over to the Dems.  In the Senate, the Dems were defending far more seats than were the Republicans,, and thuis the advantage there looked to be in the GOP's favor. But with the Democrats almost bathing in their so-called Blue Wave, talk of swinging control of both legislative bodies to the Democrats was all over the political landscape.  Two things changed everything.  First - also as discussed above - the nomination of Brett Kavanaugh to fill the seat being vacated by Retiring Justice Anthony Kennedy - fixated the nation's attention on the hotly disputed nomination process.  An already blazing fight became a conflagration when it was revealed that a California College Teacher had penned a letter to Democrats in California, wherein she claimed that Kavanaugh had sexually assaulted her some 35 years ago while both were high school students in Washington, D.C.  Kavanaugh vehemently denied the allegations, and in a normal world that would have been the end of it.  But in this fight - where the Supreme Court would swing solidly into Conservative control should Kavanaugh be approved - nothing was normal and nothing was calm and civilized.  The California Teacher insisted in her letter that her allegations were never to become public.  The Democrats gave the Teacher their word.  But within only a few hours, news of the letter was in the press and ricocheting across the nation.  Soon enough, her sworn testimony before the Judiciary Committee and Kavanaugh's rebuttal were scheduled.  Television ratings for the day-long hearing were unprecedented.  On their faces, both the Teacher and the Judge were highly credible.  But the Teacher's story fell apart when many of her facts were checked.  She provided FBI Investigators with the names of four people who were at the very small party where she claimed the assault took place.  Not one of the four - one of whom was said to be her best friend - would corroborate any of the Teacher's allegations.  The Teacher herself gave multiple dates when the incident occurred, and she was unable to provide a location for the party, the names of those who provided her with transportation to and from the affair, and other essential evidence for its occurrence. The Committee delayed their final vote for one week to allow the FBI to conduct even more interviews, but their vote to endorse the nomination stood.  The final vote fell to the full Senate.  Every member of the majority party voted for Kavanaugh, save for the hapless Murkowski (see above).  Every member of the Democratic Party opposed the Judge, save for Senator Manchin (see above).  The other event that changed the course of the Mid-Terms was President Trump's fevered campaigning in favor of the GOP.  In appearance after appearance he called the Democratic Party the "Party of Crime.". The stunningly huge crowds that turned out for every one of these Trump appearances inevitably screamed their approval of Trump's descriptions.  In addition, each crowd chanted, "we want Kavanaugh." to the chagrin of the Democrats left to oppose the judge.  Never in American History had the approval of a Supreme Court Judge had so much input from American Voters.  With the National Press nearly uniformly against everything Trump, these appearances all around These United States allowed the President to bypass the Press and take the causes being championed by Trump directly to the electorate.  And it wasn't just the Press working without rest against Trump.  Hollywood actors and Producers turned their efforts against Trump, both with Public Service Pieces that networks were only too happy to broadcast, and with theatrical productions that slammed Trump.  The GOP was not left without a response.  Movies telling the story of Abortion Doctor Herbert Gosnell were shown in theatres, as were other films championing other Conservative Caiuses.  Sadly, these conservative films lacked the named actors and directors that Hollywood could bring to bat.

       5. Where is the United States heading?  Is a Mid-Term Election going to leave its mark as a bell-whether for national direction?  Hardly any American would argue that the nation is not at a tipping point.  It most certainly is.  Name any point of national debate and you will find a total lack of consensus.  The smallest issue is only a small step from explosion.  Consider:

          A. Foreign Policy:  President Trump and a wide swath of Conservative and Independent Americans support making the United States the most powerful military force on Earth.  With foreign  powers such as China, Russia and Iran gearing up to arrive at a point where any of them are capable of destroying the USA on a minute's notice, Trump and many many others want to build this country's military to a couinter-point where such a destructive effort could be defeated, and done so with assured ease.  Those who oppose this - led by Ultra Anti-American Ultra Leftists life Barack Obama - want to virtually neuter the USA military and abandon any idea that we are the world's police force.

          B.  Nationalism - The GOP, led by President Trump, want to establish firm and defended national borders, enforced on the Southern Border by a strong solid Wall.  Obama and his confederates, on the otherhand, are openly in favor of a one-world government.  Such a government would eliminate nationalism and leave the entire world under one elitist government.  The details of such a government are scarce because Obama and company realize that any such details would be seized on by those who oppose one-world government and pushed back down their throats.

       C.  Civil nd Human Rights:  Nobody on earth would argue that all forms of racism are a thing of the past.  But the GOP and conservatives in general believe that things are better than they have ever been an a common national identity would eliminate tangible vestiges of racism sooner rather than later.  It grates on conservatives that they continue to be blamed for clear mistakes made generations ago by their ancestors.  The Left, conversely, wants to continue to spend untold billions of dollars on efforts to ameliorate the vestiges of racism.  On the other side of the coin are age-old civil rights such a free speech and freedom of the press.  Leftists like Obama are solidly opposed to such concepts.  They don't want conservative arguments to be in the national discourse.  That is why, today,, world-wide discussion forums such a Facebook and Twitter are going out of their way to eliminate conservative ideas.  GOP Politicians and their supporters are being silenced,  More than any other subject, this topic is at the point of conflagration.  The Trump Administration says it is moving against those who would silence conservatives and the mute discussion of sensible ideas that are older than America itself.

          D. Abortion - There is no need to discuss the two sides here.  Every American not entombed somewhere know the arguments.  They never go away.  One wonders what will happen when science gets to the point where humans as young as a mere month (or less) in the womb can  survive outside the womb.  One also wonders why science has been so slow in developing better methods of birth control.

Etc. - There are dozens of other issues: the environment, age and sex discrimination, religious discrimination, health topics; each of these will have their day in the spotllight of potential conflagrations.

Three Shifty USA Senators Hold Kavanaugh's Fate in Their Hands

BALTIMORE, Maryland Thursday, October 5, 2018:  A week after her testimony before the Senate Judiciary Committee, Christine Balsey Ford's pathetic rant has completely fell apart.

Proof has emerged that she not only knows the ins and outs of lie detector tests, but actually schools people on how to "beat" these tests.  Other people who have known her for years describe her in a manner that is exactly the opposite of how she attempted to portray herself.  A close friend at the University of North Carolina described her as an ultimate party person and a big drinker.  Others insist she has no trepidation about flying. You will recall her efforts to avoid testifying on the grounds that she was deathly afraid of flying in commercial jets.

Still others say they were close to Ms. Ford for ages and never heard her even once refer to being the victim of any kind of traumatic assault.  Nor did she act, in anyway, as if she had been the victim of such an assault.  Thousands of women have been victimized by such horrible assaults, and portraying yourself as such a victim, when you aren't, is a slap in the face of the real victims.

Sadly, there are still thousands of Americans who get most of their news from the Ultra Far Left Mainstream Media.  These Ultra Leftists continue to report that Judge Kavanaugh is the same thing as a convicted rapist.  Not only is he not convicted, he is not even guilty of the act in any way, shape or form. But don't try to find that information in a mainstream media outlet.

As the final vote on Judge Kavanaugh's nomination approaches, three Senators still hold his fate in their hands:  one is the despicable Jeff Flake, another is the shifty neo-leftist Lisa Murkowski, while a third is the unethical, far-left-leaning Susan Collins.  Late information indicates that Collins and Flake are leaning toward confirming the judge, while Murkowski has been notorious by her silence. None of the three are inherently good people.  After the absolutely putrid and obscene show the ultra left staged in the judiciary committee, one has to realize that the left doesn't want Kavanaugh on the bench.  Why? He would be opposed to leftist causes.

In world of the pathetic GOP trio, the only thing that matters is how their vote will play in the New York Times.

A possible wild card in the upcoming vote is West Virginia's Democratic Senator Joe Manchin.   Manchin's staff has been telling callers to his Senate Office that he almost has to  vote to confirm Kavanaugh; to vote against him would certainly seal his fate in the upcoming national vote.  You see, Democrats are not held in high esteem in West Virginia after Barack Obama tried to single-handedly destroy the coal mining industry.

If any one of those three shifty Republicans go belly up and reward the Ultra Left for their despicable committee activity, Kavanaugh and the USA will be cooked.  The margin of error is one vote.  Late polls show help is on the way in November, but who knows how that will hold up.

Incidentally - and let us hope it doesn't come to this - there is talk that if one of the three vote no on confirmation, and the American People increase the GOP majority in the Senate, then President Trump might be prepared to renominate Kavanaugh, which he is permitted to do.

I hope it doesn't come to that.  But if it does, I hope the President follows through and renominates Kavanaugh.

Despite Ford's Testimony, Her Own Witnesses Won't Back Her Up

BALTIMORE, Maryland Thursday, September 25, 2018: It is almost torture to listen or watch Christine Blasey Ford testify.  She apparently would have us believe that she has never ever had a shred of doubt that Judge Kavanagh attacked her at a gathering back in 1982.  The smug jerks from my party make it all the fault of the GOP that politics in Washington is at the point it currently is at.  Ford recovered her  nerve, not when Kavanagh was first appointed or when he was subsequently appointed, over and over.  Some six background checks came and went during the silence.

In case you did not know, those background checks would've been the 'correct' time.  Then her story could've been properly vetted.  She did name four people who were at the small gathering she describes.  All four have been contacted.  Not a single one corroborates any of her story.  This includes other the other woman (women?).

It was Ms. Ford who decided, herself, that she was not going to reveal her information back when it actually could've been investigated by Montgomery County, Maryland police in a way that would be meaningful.

But the Corey Bookers of the world act like Ford is heroic.  No she is not.  If Kavanagh is a bad judge, then how many bad judge rulings has he made while she sat on the information?

Senator Feinstein knew the substance of what she was going to say some nine months ago.  She remained silent.  Were this a real court room, Ms. Ford would not have been allowed to testify when she sat on her chance to do so at the proper time.

Ford said she did not want to fly across the country because flying is traumatic for her.  Okay.  But she flies all over the place on other occasions, when it suited her.

A whole lot of people said when the day's hearings had ended that they were both believable.  For those saying that, including a lot of knuckleheads on the TV, they were going out of their way to avoid the 500-pound guerilla in the room.  That guerilla is, of course, the fact that the relevant events happened 35 years ago.  Only one of the witnesses is responsible for that:   Ford.

And then there is this: Ford identified everybody she said was there, save for one person.  All of the identified people said it did not happen, even Ms. Ford's best friend.

Ford waited way too long, and even then, all of the witnesses, even those sympathetic to her in most every circumstance, said no, that did not happen.

It did not happen.

The Enduring Shame and Perversion of the Ultra Left

BALTIMORE, Maryland September 25, 2018 - On Monday evening, Brett and Ashley Estes Kavanaugh appeared on Fox News with a prime time hostess, Martha MacCallum.  Ms. MacCallum is not a 'dyed in the wool' conservative and thus the joint appearance of Mr. and Mrs. Kavanagh was seen as a bit dicier than would a similar appearance with the essential Sean Hannity.

The appearance was entirely successful in that it put the answer to all questions out in front of the American People.  Judge Kavanagh looked everyone in the eye and said without reservation or caution that he did not do any of the sleazy acts for which he is being charged.  He has been saying this, and anyone paying attention knows he is speaking truthfully.

Speaking for most Americans, Rush Limbaugh said on his Tuesday afternoon show that the Left believed they could hound Kavanagh into dropping his bid for the Supreme Court under the guise of wanting to spare his family even more of the despicable carrying on to which they are now being subjected.

If you do not now realize the extent of the sleaziness of the Media, Chucky Schumer, George Soros etc., then you really do not want to live your life in truth's circle.  You need to admit to yourself that your life is a lie.

There are those who will scream sanctimoniously at me that I really don't know whether this Balsley Ford person is acting honestly.  But I do.

Were she acting honestly, she would have begun telling the truth long before the President nominated Kavanagh to the Supreme Court.  Kavanagh has been an important American Jurist for years.  The only thing the Supreme Court nomination did was make him more of a household name.

So what was the motivation for Ford acting now, as opposed to some other time in the last 36 years?  She wanted more bang for her buck.  She acted in a way so as to maximize the political impact of her move onto the national stage.  That was her entire motivation.  Her co-operatives: Schumer, Dicky Durbin, Senator Feinstein etc., joined her in this cabal.

Many have predicted that when push comes to shove, Ford will not testify.  I am one of them.  If I am wrong, then more power to her.

If you are like me, you are wondering, with profound trepidation, at the limits of the Ultra Left's willingness to completely trash the lives of those on the right when they are asked to accept politically sensitive appointments.  Sooner, rather than later, the quality of the appointments made by leaders on the right, will begin to suffer.  It is actually already starting.  Colin Powell has bowed to his wife and family's sincere requests that he not run for President.  The Governor of Wisconsin, Scott Walker, has experienced similar pressures from his well-meaning family, but so far has continued to serve.

You have to notice that candidates on the left do not go through anything like the torture that conservative candidates endure.  Were the protesting really spontaneous, then it would have to be accepted.  But it is not spontaneous.  The protesters and demonstrators for the Left are all or almost all paid operatives.  Low brow Ultra Left money men like George Soros seem to have unlimited funds to devote to trashing the nation.  A former Nazi sympathizer is, in fact, an anarchist, or so he says.  How do people continue to support the left when someone like Soros plays so significant a role.  Is there no shame?

Rush Limbaugh has placed the outcome of this sleazy carrying-on on the GOP members of the Senate Judiciary Committee.  That is exactly where it belongs.  Limbaugh insists that the Committee proceed at once to a vote on Kavanaugh.  The left, clearly, is merely trying to delay the vote until after the Fall elections.  If no Committee vote is taken soon, Kavanaugh will not be confirmed even though he is entirely innocent of all of these sleazy and false charges.

It is becoming clear that Ford herself doesn't want to come forward and testify, especially under oath.  She is being subjected to the most awful pressure to testify and lie by Schumer, Soros and their operatives.

When Kavanaugh and his wife came to the public venue last night, he proved again how innocent he is.  Why Senator Grassley and his cohorts are being so weak-kneed is beyond comprehension.  They are digging the GOP's grave with every delay.

Folks on the Committee, get with it.  Get a back-bone.  Take the vote now.

UPDATE: Christine Blasey Ford Gives Confusing Signals About Her Willingness to Testify Against Kavanaugh; A Decision Not to Vote for Hogan

BALTIMORE, Maryland Friday, September 21, 2018: Before - not at the moment of - but before the President announced his selection of Brett Kavanaugh to fill the Supreme Court chair being vacated by Anthony Kennedy, the ultra far left, anti-American cabal that now runs the Democrat Party already knew what they would do to scuttle the Kavanaugh nomination.

You read that correctly.  Even before President Trump had made his decision on whom to nominate to the Supreme Court, those hardcore, Anti-American Leftists who run the present-day Democrat Party, had already ramped up their sleazy plan to throw a decades-old sex assault claim (dream?} at one of the potential nominees.  These Leftists include people who have far worse deeds on their resume - but no matter.  The plan was hatched, discussed, and made ready to implement.  Right Chucky? Right Nancy? Right George?

It was not a work in progress.  The Anti-Americans that dominate the Democrat Party these days knew that if nothing else worked (you know what is meant here, right? We mean the freak show staged by the cabal of Democrats on the Judiciary Committee and their rogues gallery of operatives in the real gallery. These upstanding citizens hooted and hollered, interrupted, grunted and so on.)  But if this didn't derail the nominating process, the Anti-Americans would call upon the leftist professor from California's tardy claim of sexual assault to create hell on earth for Kavanaugh and his family.  And darned if they didn't do exactly that.

One of the aspects of this loathsome ultra-left show that most outrages many Americans in both parties is the claim by Democrat "Leaders" that the GOP is "rushing" the process to the detriment of the alleged victim.  These are the "facts" of this shameful claim.  The alleged incident took place during, they think, the summer some 35 (34? 36? 38?) years ago.

According to the alleged victim, 51-year-old Christine Blasey Ford, who now lives and works(?) in California, Kavanaugh was extremely intoxicated when this thing took place.  Ford says the nominee pinned her to a bed and then, while both remained fully clothed, grinded his body against hers.  She escaped when a third person in the room jumped on the bed, causing all three to fall to the floor.  Kavanaugh, now married and the proud father of two teenage daughters, vehemently denies the incident. He has demanded the right to testify against the allegations.  The third person said to have been in the room at the moment says he recalls neither the party or any such assault incident.

Ford doesn't want to testify on Monday before Congress.  Monday is the day the Committee set aside to hear from both her and Kavanaugh.  Instead, Ford wants the FBI to launch a new investigation into the incident, after which she says she will decide whether to testify. The FBI has no legal window to investigate Ford's ancient claim.  The FBI does background checks of Supreme Court nominees and nominees for other judicial posts.  Kavanaugh has had a total of six of these intrusive background checks and passed all of them.  It is unclear whether they have looked into Ford's allegations.  What is very crystal clear is that they would have looked into Ford's claims in a heartbeat had she come forward at anytime in the past 35 years.

Rushing?  The Dems can't be serious.

Negotiations continued into Friday, and as I post this update, it appeared the parties were closer to an agreement.  Ford is said to be insisting that Kavanaugh testify first - get your arms around that; he has a hard-earned reputation for telling the truth and he says he did not participate in any such incident.  But she wants him to deny something he knows nothing about.  She will not release the letter revealing the incident that was sent to California Congressional Democrats and she wants no corroborating eyewitnesses to testify.

The biggest sham of all might be the so-called couples therapy that Ford apparently says caused her to recall the 35-year-old incident.  This writer is not a psychologist or anything of the sort.  But the type of therapy used during this session in 2012 is said to have fallen into widespread disrepute.  It would seem imperative that the Judiciary Committee delve into this.  If the reason this method of therapy is rarely used these days is its propensity for causing patients to recall incidents that occurred nowhere but in their imagination, it is possible that, in fact, the alleged assault didn't happen anywhere but in the decades-old imaginings of a teenager.  The Committee will risk allowing an outstanding human being to be completely destroyed by the production of false testimony.  This is why the law frowns on this kind of 11th hour nonsense.

Neither Ford or the Dems seem to recall that it is they who have sat on the 35-year-old allegations until now.  The very public process had a time for testimony from Ford, or from Senator Feinstein, who is said to have been in possession of Ford's letter for up to nine months.  She had met privately with Kavanaugh in her Senate Office, but never broached the existence of either the letter or the existence to the Ford allegations. In a Washington Post story on Ford's charges, Ford is quoted as saying that she had never told anyone about the alleged 1980's incident  "in any detail" before  the 2012 couples therapy sessions. If you take the quote to mean what it says, then Ford has discussed the incident through the years, although not in any detail. Apparently - and in spite of media reports to the contrary - Ford has given any number of folk some idea about the fact that she was attacked by a celebrity judge when both were teenagers.  While she says Kavanaugh was highly intoxicated, she concedes that she also had had a beer or two.

I listened in amazement this week when at least one dozen women called radio shows to describe horrific attacks on them by men of all description.  Unlike Ford's sketchy allegations - she cannot remember the day or week, the location, the names of the others who were present and other consequential details - these other victims said they vividly recall every minute detail because they relive these evil incidents over and over again,  One woman said she remembers "everything," and when she said the word, she drew it out to emphasize the role the horrid events now play in her life.

Ford concedes that both she and Kavanaugh remained fully clothed throughout the incident, although she alleges that Kavanaugh was trying to get her bathing suit off.  After the alleged incident, Ford said she hid in another room in the house.  Later, she left.  Kavanaugh is not said to have pursued her.  Original reports said the attack took place at a "party."  Later reports described a more private get together involving her and one other female and up to four boys, counting Kavanaugh.  Ford, apparently, does not recall the names of any of the other attendees.  It is not known whether she claims to have always known Kavanaugh was the attacker or happened upon his identification in the therapy sessions.

The ever-awful Chucky Schumer angrily says the GOP is rushing the nomination to a vote.  He does not mention that his client began telling people years ago about the incident, gave detailed stories about the event she claims to recall years ago, and wrote a letter giving full details of the incident and sent it to one or more California Democratic Congress Folk.  Diane Feinstein, the California Senator, got a hold of the letter nine long months ago but sat on it until this past weekend.

Schumer skips all of these facts during his daily rants.  Frankly, he is just not a good person.  Imagine him as Senate President.  Suddenly, the horrendous Mitch McConnell seems far-preferable.

Not that my one vote matters all that much, but, as a Maryland resident, I have decided that I cannot vote for Maryland's Incumbent Governor.  I voted for him four years ago.  Since then I have watched in amazement as he has done everything imaginable to convince Maryland Voters that he can be just as liberal as the Democrats.  The last straw came right around the primaries, when, after sending elements of the Maryland National Guard to the Southern Border in response to the President's request, he announced that, on second thought, he was bringing them all home.  No explanation was offered, but rest assured that Chucky and Nancy Pelosi were thrilled.  This voter was not.  Democrats like this one voted for Hogan because he promised stark change from the far left carrying on of prior Democratic Administrations.

Obama Emerges, But Lays a Huge Egg; Plus a Look at the Orioles and Ravens

Baltimore, Maryland Monday, September 10, 2018:  Today, a lad called a radio talk show to express his profound incredulity over the broadcast comment of some actress, who said, on live TV over the weekend, "where is John Wilkes Booth when we need him?"

The caller continued: "I can tell you where this assassin is.  He has come back to life as the [Mainstream] Media."

Who can argue?  In 2018, the media has so lost its way that even people like this writer - liberal, a journalism school grad, a trial lawyer - no longer recognize it.

I don't buy into this song and dance about Trump being deserving of all of the Media's deranged expressions.  Trump was elected by the American people.  He won fair and square.  He did not cheat, but Hillary Clinton did.  She was caught in the act, but far left operatives have gotten her off the hook, for now.  Trump has performed remarkably, considering all of the sickening nonsense thrown at him.

Someone told me that the evil far left would have done all of this "stuff" no matter who was elected, unless it was Hillary.  I actually think that is true.  The far left hates America and the American Democratic way of doing things.  The evil far left believes that unless their people win a given election, the election should be ignored and overturned, whichever is easier.  I could only get sick when I saw all the laudatory things said about John McCain.  Although in his latter years I disagreed with lots of his political antics, I always admired and respected him.  And unlike the hypocrites who took to the airways when he passed, I voted for him when he was matched up against Obama in 2008.

Not to change the point, but the audacity and absurdity of Obama - over this past weekend - taking the credit for the dramatic economic turnaround in these United States, a turnaround that began one second after it became clear that Trump has turned back Hillary's depressing bid to become President, is one of the most absurd, obtuse, and wrong-headed things Barackula has ever spit out.  But there was the media, acting like it was true.  If I snap my fingers, Mr. Ex-President, will you awake and fall back to reality?  Why would he when life, for him, is far more fun when the media makes all of his goofiness seem logical.

A pro-Trump economist on the Council of Economic Advisors held a press conference this morning.  In it he said he went back and looked over every imaginable economic indicator to see if even one of them foretold the great economic turn-around before the Trumpster won in November.  To the surprise of neither the economist or most other rational Americans, the answer was no.  All the numbers were southbound before Donald pulled the upset.  But give Barackula credit, with the media having fallen off the deep end, (or jumped,) why not throw out junk science like that?  There are bound to be a few dolts who buy in.

Sports: During the many recent months I haven't been writing here, the Major League Baseball season has largely played out.  My beloved Orioles have laid a huge egg in 2018.  A team that was largely the same one that remained in the hellish AL East race until Labor Day in 2017, was torn apart and thrown asunder. I don't like this kind of thing.  If there are aging vets when it comes to rebuild, do it.  But the lads the Orioles got rid of were young and up and coming:  Machado, Scoop, Britton.  These three are among the best three players in all of baseball.  You could scheme for a lifetime and not come up with three players like that.  What makes you think any of the guys we got in return were anywhere near as good?  Only Machado was surely gone come free agency.

I hate to say it, but I think the Oriole brass thought they'd be fired come season's end unless they did something dramatic.  So they did.  It is really hard to watch what is left.  But I do.  All the bloody time.

The news is far better when it comes to the Ravens.  They scored early and often on Sunday in crushing Buffalo, a team that made the playoffs last season.  The final score, 47-3 Ravens, gave firm indication how well Baltimore played and how awful the Bills played.  The Baltimore defense was breathtaking.  Joe Flacco was nothing short of wonderful.  Now, this Thursday night the Ravens travel to Ohio to take on the Bengals.  If they post a win there, they could be off to a wonderful season.

Credible and Incisive Returns; Dems Abandon Rational Leadership and Move Forward With Only Far Left Nonsense in its Stead; Will GOP Fill the Void?

TOWSON, MARYLAND, Thursday, July 19, 2018: I am back.  I last posted in November of 2017.  Beginning in April, 2017, both of my parents passed after prolonged illnesses.  Both were Gods' gifts to their offspring, which consisted of myself and my sister.  They are sorely missed by me among others.

In fact, the passing of my father just a few days ago has focused my emotions on the loss of my mother like nothing else possibly could.

As my father lay in home hospice, about to pass, it forced me to confront the fact that I am now the oldest of my immediate family.  Predictably, all hell has broken loose in just the few days since he passed.  I will not be permitted to grieve.  Something similar happened to my wife back when her mom passed not long after her dad did the same.  New I am beginning to understand what she tried to tell me.

Writing has always been a way to cope for me. Now, I turn to it again.

The world has tried hard to implode.  Strangely, a man nobody could possibly have thought of as a champion has emerged to be just that.  Donald Trump was always a bellicose, bombastic  business genius with little apparent interest in world geopolitics.  When the man who sadly left a legacy of abject failure - Barrack Obama - was mercifully forced from the White House at the end of two failure-filled years, it looked for all the world like Hillary Clinton would take his place; only more certain miserable failure could follow because Hillary Clinton is not a good person.  She never was.  How her nomination was possible demonstrates that lack of real leadership in the party.  Hillary is the opposite of sane leadership.  The party that gave America Roosevelt, Truman, and Kennedy now gave us an Ultra-Leftist who despised all things American, to be followed by a sour old nincompoop.

Incredibly, the GOP nominated Donald Trump to challenge Hillary in the autumn, 2016 General Election.  Incredibly, Trump won.

Among other things, the Trump victory has forced the USA to come to grips with the reality that one of their two political parties is no longer capable of governing.  The Democrats have lurched far to the left.  America responded by dumping the Dems from office in unprecedented numbers.  Instead of a long-overdue re-evaluation of the trend of the party to the ultra-left, the Dems doubled down, selecting two ultra-leftists to run their party.  This guaranteed more failure.

In a move of almost mind-numbing minsdlessness and open cruelty, the Dems have elected to openly abandon white democrats, almost openly forcing whites into the arms of the GOP.

The GOP has not acted with assuredness.  They must continue to attract all voters of all races, sexes and religions.  They must pound the Dems for their decisions of exclusion, decisions that are openly evil.

History has taught little to the ultra left  That much is clear.  Whether the GOP is capable to leading in the absence of sane opposition is not yet clear. All Americans must pray that they can.

In the coming hours and days I will patch together my views on the state of our nation and other issues of relevance.  I hope this becomes regular and dependable.  I invite your responses.
