BALTIMORE, Maryland Friday, September 21, 2018: Before - not at the moment of - but before the President announced his selection of Brett Kavanaugh to fill the Supreme Court chair being vacated by Anthony Kennedy, the ultra far left, anti-American cabal that now runs the Democrat Party already knew what they would do to scuttle the Kavanaugh nomination.
You read that correctly. Even before President Trump had made his decision on whom to nominate to the Supreme Court, those hardcore, Anti-American Leftists who run the present-day Democrat Party, had already ramped up their sleazy plan to throw a decades-old sex assault claim (dream?} at one of the potential nominees. These Leftists include people who have far worse deeds on their resume - but no matter. The plan was hatched, discussed, and made ready to implement. Right Chucky? Right Nancy? Right George?
It was not a work in progress. The Anti-Americans that dominate the Democrat Party these days knew that if nothing else worked (you know what is meant here, right? We mean the freak show staged by the cabal of Democrats on the Judiciary Committee and their rogues gallery of operatives in the real gallery. These upstanding citizens hooted and hollered, interrupted, grunted and so on.) But if this didn't derail the nominating process, the Anti-Americans would call upon the leftist professor from California's tardy claim of sexual assault to create hell on earth for Kavanaugh and his family. And darned if they didn't do exactly that.
One of the aspects of this loathsome ultra-left show that most outrages many Americans in both parties is the claim by Democrat "Leaders" that the GOP is "rushing" the process to the detriment of the alleged victim. These are the "facts" of this shameful claim. The alleged incident took place during, they think, the summer some 35 (34? 36? 38?) years ago.
According to the alleged victim, 51-year-old Christine Blasey Ford, who now lives and works(?) in California, Kavanaugh was extremely intoxicated when this thing took place. Ford says the nominee pinned her to a bed and then, while both remained fully clothed, grinded his body against hers. She escaped when a third person in the room jumped on the bed, causing all three to fall to the floor. Kavanaugh, now married and the proud father of two teenage daughters, vehemently denies the incident. He has demanded the right to testify against the allegations. The third person said to have been in the room at the moment says he recalls neither the party or any such assault incident.
Ford doesn't want to testify on Monday before Congress. Monday is the day the Committee set aside to hear from both her and Kavanaugh. Instead, Ford wants the FBI to launch a new investigation into the incident, after which she says she will decide whether to testify. The FBI has no legal window to investigate Ford's ancient claim. The FBI does background checks of Supreme Court nominees and nominees for other judicial posts. Kavanaugh has had a total of six of these intrusive background checks and passed all of them. It is unclear whether they have looked into Ford's allegations. What is very crystal clear is that they would have looked into Ford's claims in a heartbeat had she come forward at anytime in the past 35 years.
Rushing? The Dems can't be serious.
Negotiations continued into Friday, and as I post this update, it appeared the parties were closer to an agreement. Ford is said to be insisting that Kavanaugh testify first - get your arms around that; he has a hard-earned reputation for telling the truth and he says he did not participate in any such incident. But she wants him to deny something he knows nothing about. She will not release the letter revealing the incident that was sent to California Congressional Democrats and she wants no corroborating eyewitnesses to testify.
The biggest sham of all might be the so-called couples therapy that Ford apparently says caused her to recall the 35-year-old incident. This writer is not a psychologist or anything of the sort. But the type of therapy used during this session in 2012 is said to have fallen into widespread disrepute. It would seem imperative that the Judiciary Committee delve into this. If the reason this method of therapy is rarely used these days is its propensity for causing patients to recall incidents that occurred nowhere but in their imagination, it is possible that, in fact, the alleged assault didn't happen anywhere but in the decades-old imaginings of a teenager. The Committee will risk allowing an outstanding human being to be completely destroyed by the production of false testimony. This is why the law frowns on this kind of 11th hour nonsense.
Neither Ford or the Dems seem to recall that it is they who have sat on the 35-year-old allegations until now. The very public process had a time for testimony from Ford, or from Senator Feinstein, who is said to have been in possession of Ford's letter for up to nine months. She had met privately with Kavanaugh in her Senate Office, but never broached the existence of either the letter or the existence to the Ford allegations. In a Washington Post story on Ford's charges, Ford is quoted as saying that she had never told anyone about the alleged 1980's incident "in any detail" before the 2012 couples therapy sessions. If you take the quote to mean what it says, then Ford has discussed the incident through the years, although not in any detail. Apparently - and in spite of media reports to the contrary - Ford has given any number of folk some idea about the fact that she was attacked by a celebrity judge when both were teenagers. While she says Kavanaugh was highly intoxicated, she concedes that she also had had a beer or two.
I listened in amazement this week when at least one dozen women called radio shows to describe horrific attacks on them by men of all description. Unlike Ford's sketchy allegations - she cannot remember the day or week, the location, the names of the others who were present and other consequential details - these other victims said they vividly recall every minute detail because they relive these evil incidents over and over again, One woman said she remembers "everything," and when she said the word, she drew it out to emphasize the role the horrid events now play in her life.
Ford concedes that both she and Kavanaugh remained fully clothed throughout the incident, although she alleges that Kavanaugh was trying to get her bathing suit off. After the alleged incident, Ford said she hid in another room in the house. Later, she left. Kavanaugh is not said to have pursued her. Original reports said the attack took place at a "party." Later reports described a more private get together involving her and one other female and up to four boys, counting Kavanaugh. Ford, apparently, does not recall the names of any of the other attendees. It is not known whether she claims to have always known Kavanaugh was the attacker or happened upon his identification in the therapy sessions.
The ever-awful Chucky Schumer angrily says the GOP is rushing the nomination to a vote. He does not mention that his client began telling people years ago about the incident, gave detailed stories about the event she claims to recall years ago, and wrote a letter giving full details of the incident and sent it to one or more California Democratic Congress Folk. Diane Feinstein, the California Senator, got a hold of the letter nine long months ago but sat on it until this past weekend.
Schumer skips all of these facts during his daily rants. Frankly, he is just not a good person. Imagine him as Senate President. Suddenly, the horrendous Mitch McConnell seems far-preferable.
Not that my one vote matters all that much, but, as a Maryland resident, I have decided that I cannot vote for Maryland's Incumbent Governor. I voted for him four years ago. Since then I have watched in amazement as he has done everything imaginable to convince Maryland Voters that he can be just as liberal as the Democrats. The last straw came right around the primaries, when, after sending elements of the Maryland National Guard to the Southern Border in response to the President's request, he announced that, on second thought, he was bringing them all home. No explanation was offered, but rest assured that Chucky and Nancy Pelosi were thrilled. This voter was not. Democrats like this one voted for Hogan because he promised stark change from the far left carrying on of prior Democratic Administrations.
