French Police Shoot Man Outside Notre-Dame Cathedral After He Attacks Them With Hammer

BALTIMORE, Maryland, Tuesday, June 6, 2017 - The Telegraph in London and other European Publications Report that French Police have shot a man outside of Notre-Dame Cathedral in Paris late Tuesday afternoon after he attacked at least one officer with a hammer.

The Telegraph posted the first report of the incident at 3:47 pm London Time, or 10:47 am on the East Coast of These United States.  An eyewitness told the Telegraph that he saw a man down outside of the Cathedral seconds after he heard an explosion-like sound that he conceded could have been gunfire.

The main square outside of the Cathedral has now been evacuated, the Telegraph reported on-line.

There was no word on the attacker's condition or whether any police officer was injured.  The incident comes only days after Islamic Terrorists killed some seven people on London Bridge in England.
