TOWSON, MARYLAND, USA, MONDAY, JANUARY 27, 2020 - When last this blog appeared, some ten months ago, there was the hope that long absences would be a thing of the past. It didn't turn out that way. Again an effort is being made.
This is the current situation. The Democrats have celebrated their return to power in the United States House of Representatives by attempting to Impeach President Trump. More than a few influential national commentators - including the powerful Mark Levin - believe that the President has emerged as one of the most important and influential chief executives in American History.
They are correct. Too often, Presidents have identified the most poignant needs and desires of all of America's citizens, only to completely fail to act in furtherance of the concerns they have identified. Trump is that rare exception. He knows what the citizens need and want, and he has acted to address them. And despite the fact that his efforts have been curtailed by Anti-American elements of the Democratic Party, many of his plans and initiatives have been enacted. Even Trump's enemies are amazed at this energy and resolve.
It is to be expected, I suppose, that the Democrats oppose Trump in furtherance of the role as the loyal opposition. Oppose, okay, we get it, but these people don't loyally oppose. Instead, they do everything in their power to completely destroy and even obliterate Trump. Democrats can oppose while at the same time remembering that they are Americans who have a solemn duty to act in furtherance of what is best for our God Blessed Nation. Their duty becomes worthy of extreme care when being among the opposition becomes contrary to America's best interests.
Chucky Schumer and Nancy Pelosi have, more often than not, slipped way over the line. Way way over.
