BALTIMORE, Maryland, Sunday, October 9, and Monday, October 10, 2016 - In the aftermath of an ugly - but purely Clintonesque - release of a decade-old video showing Donald Trump engaging in rank bar room chatter, the GOP candidate for President tonight came out swinging in Sunday Night's second Presidential Debate, and then kept swinging for over 90 minutes in spite of a concerted effort by his allied opponents, Hillary Clinton and two purely pro-Clinton reps from the mainstream media, to trip him up. Trump pushed back with vigor at an early pile on concerning the video release. At one point, ABC rep Martha Radetz interrupted Trump and demanded he respond to her precise inquiry. The media intends to keep the Trump video on America's front pages for as long as possible in an effort to prevent Trump from focusing on Clinton's endless array of lies, fraudulent money-grabs and boneheaded policy miscalculations. The Democratic-Media Alliance also wants to distract Americans from the impending release of material by Wikileaks. Already, Wikileaks has posted excerpts from Hilary's speeches to Wall Street Bankers. Clinton has refused to release transcripts of those speeches, but tonight seemed to confirm that the material posted by Wikileaks is accurate. Shortly after the debate, the group known as 'Democrats for Trump' wrote on Twitter: "Hillary blames Wikileaks on Russia, Her emails on Colin Powell, Benghazi on a YouTube video, And now her Wall St. speech on Abe Lincoln. #Debate

The high point for Trump was his impassioned attack on both Clinton and the media concerning the year-long investigation of Hillary and her activities by the FBI, an investigation that ended with the FBI Director lambasting Clinton for her wreckless behavior, but not asking that she be indicted. Trump blasted the media reps for refusing to ask questions about the FBI probe despite its importance to the American people. He promised that if he becomes President, the probe will be reopened, at which point Hillary will end up in jail. During one exchange, he characterized the debate as a three on one proposition.
Another highlight was when Hillary tried to say she was an honest and trustworthy person. A large number of audience members screamed derisively, prompting media rep Anderson Cooper of CNN to demand they be quiet.
Trump also scored often in a long discussion of the highly criticized Obamacare Health Care plan. Hillary conceded the plan needed to be changed because it was too costly for many Americans. Trump insisted that only a complete repeal would save America from the ravages of a plan that is socialist from the gitgo. Trump chided Clinton, saying that if it were up to her, Obamacare would stay in place and American Taxpayers would pay through the nose, as is already happening in many parts of the USA,
In the immediate aftermath of the debate, even Trump critics were conceding that he had improved dramatically over his earlier debate performance. Others saw the Trump performance tightening the close race even further.
One is encouraged to go to the Powerline Blog for their excellant coverage. One highlight: John Hinderaker's excellant analysis of a biased report by the AP on Trump's mentioning of Bill Clinton's rape of Juanita Broderick (Clinton denies it).
