Updated Breaking News: Five Dead, Nine Others Injured in Fort Lauderdale Airport Attacks; 2 Perpetrators Said to Be Active

BALTIMORE, Maryland, Friday, January 6, 2017 - At least five people are dead - but late media reports said there may be "many" deaths - and some nine others are injured in one and possibly two active incidents at the Fort Lauderdale, Florida Airport.

Filling in at the Rush Limbaugh "Excellence in Broadcasting" Network, Mark Stein, quoting from combined media reports, said that reports have the perpetrator in custody.  Fox News said at 2 pm that the Broward County, Florida Sheriff said the scene of the incident was now under control, and travelers, who had been evacuated, were now being allowed back into the part of the airport where the incident took place.  However, less than an hour later a second incident and second perpetrator emerged.  And now, the entire airport may be evacuated.

The incidents are said to have taken place in the baggage claim area and one other area at the airport, Stein and Sean Hannity subsequently announced. Fox News said the incidents took place at the Delta Airline portion of the baggage claim area and in one other area. Witnesses said a large number of people were seen running from the baggage claim area.
