Maryland Beats North Carolina State Again; Shawaryn Improves to 5-0

TOWSON, Maryland March 22, 2014 - Freshman Michael Shawaryn won his fifth game, and Charlie White homered as the University of Maryland Baseball Team beat No. 11 North Carolina State for the second straight day, this time by 7-4. Shawaryn (5-0) scattered four hits and was charged with only one run in 7 innings of work. He struck out 6. The Terps improved to 15-6 overall and 4-4 in the ACC. The Wolfpack, which was swept last weekend by No. 1 Florida State, scored a single run in the fourth and eighth and two in the ninth.
