Benghazi: White House Played Active Role in Cover-Up; Retired General "In The Room" on Night of Benghazi Attack, Says USA Made No Effort to Assist Besieged Consulate

BALTIMORE, Maryland April 30, 2014 - The White House covered up the Benghazzi Massacre.

That was the inescapable conclusion of a release of emails made by the Whitehouse on Tuesday. The White House was not reacting to a Congressional Subpoena, but instead to a Court Order in a case brought by the non-profit group Judicial Watch. It was also revealed Wednesday that that the White House has not turned over subpoenaed information to Rep. Darrel Issa's committee because Issa's committee asked for documents connected to the Benghazzi Investigation and the White House didn't think their effort to cover up the massacre was about the massacre itself. It was Clintonesque in its purest form. The Committee asked for information about Benghazzi. The White House did not produce the emails and other documents having to do with their effort to cover up the fact that the attack in Benghazzi was terrorist in nature because they took the tact that these White House documents were not about Benghazzi but instead were about the effort to cover it up. Or, to put it more bluntly, Issa's committee asked for doucments about the Benghazzi attack, not documents concerning the coverup. The Hearing also revealed, publicly, that Ambassador Stevens was killed within the first hour of the attack in Benghazzi, while the two former Navy Seals killed in the attack were still alive until after 5:00 am, local time. That was six hours after the start of the attack.

Retired Air Force Brigadier General Robert Lovell, who was a top military officer detailed to Africon - the USA Military's regional command - on the night of the Benghazzi Massacre, although he said he was not directly in the chain of command. He testified Thursday in front of the House Committee which has been at the forefront of the Benghazzi investigation. He summariezed his testimony in his opening remarks, telling the assembled committee and dozens of media representatives, that the issue is not whether an effort to assist the besieged USA Consulate in Benghazzi was made or could have been made successfully. Instead, he believed that the key summary of that night is that an effort to assist should have been attempted. But, said General Lovell, no effort to assist the consulate was even meaningfully vetted by those above him in the chain of command, which includes the President.

The General also said that the command structure knew almost at once, and clearly within the first hour, that what was going on in Benghazzi was a terrorist attack and not some protest gone wrong. While military people almost desperately sought the proper military response to the attack, they were held back by the State Department's slow and almost non-existent effort to assist the military in designing a response. The military looked to the State Department, but received no guidance. It was one of the very rare situations when the military needed the State Department's guidance.

Since Tuesday's revelation of White House emails discussing, openly, the cover up, mainstream media reporters have begun taking the self-administered binds off of their wrists and entering the fray. Until Tuesday, Fox News and Talk Radio had carried the narrative. The mainstream media had accepted the White House line that Benghazzi was a GOP witch hunt and that no effort to cover up anything had been made.

Now, it is clear that when President Obama and Hilary Clinton appeared at a ceremony at Andrews Air Force Base commemorating the return of the coffins bearing the bodies of the four dead Americans, they were totally aware of the fact that the video had nothing whatsoever to do with the four killings. Yet they comforted the families and friends of the dead by telling them they would relentlessly pursue the people responsible for the video, which before Benghazzi received less than 100 hits on You Tube. Again, to cut through the nonsense, Obama and Clinton knew that what they were telling the bereaved family and friends of the dead were bald faced lies.

One of the first persons who recognized that Tuesday's revelations actually ended the White House's efforts to hide behind the lie of its un-involvement in a cover-up was Charles Krauthammer, the Washington Post Columnist. That confirmation of active White House involvement in the cover-up undermines a whole interconnected stack of blatant lies the White House had concocted to shield the White House's participation in covering up what now looks like an infantile charade.
