Pro and Anti-Trump Forces Agree: Vote on Impeachment Set For Wednesday

TOWSON, Maryland, USA Sunday, February 2, 2020 - Even as Democratic Officials publicly agree that the only hope they have to defeat Donald Trump's bid for another four year term is to prevent Bernie Sanders from emerging as the DNC standard bearer, late polls show the Marxist edging ahead in Iowa polling.

In truth, most people, including this writer, believe the President will turn back anyone the Dems put up.  But before you count your chickens, remember that Trump only gets four more years after the votes are counted.  Many feel that just getting to the starting line was the President's biggest challenge.  The Dems threw the book at Trump in the lead up to today's competition, but guess what, it did not work.  Trump made it to the starting line.  Schumer then threatened to keep the sham trial going for weeks by filing all manner of bad faith motions.  Mitch McConnell made threats of his own, so the two got together over the weekend and agreed that the Dems can make their closing arguments on Monday and Tuesday.  The vote then, will come Wednesday.

Unlike all the other motions filed so far, the actual impeachment vote will need votes from some 67 Senators to succeed in removing President Trump.  That means at least 18 or 19 Republicans would have to jump ship.

Of course, the hateful Anti-American Dems do force Trump to make Tuesday Night's State of the Union address with the removal vote pending the next day.  It is a very mean spirited mob Trump must daily confront.
