Israeli Military Releases Inventory of Seized Weapons; California gets 6.9 Quake But Little Damage

BALTIMORE, Maryland March 10, 2014 (8:15 am EST) - The Israeli Military has released an itemized list of the weapons it says it seized last week when it interdicted a ship in the Red Sea and found a large weapons cache it says was bound for terrorists on the Gaza Strip. In a posting on Twitter just moments ago, the IDF (Israeli Defense Forces) provided this list of items it seized when a combined IDF task force stopped and boarded a ship called the "Klos-C" under Panamanian Flags in the Red Sea: "Weaponry Found Onboard Klos-C:
- 40 rockets (type M-302), up-to the range of 160 kilometers
- 180 mortar shells
- Approximately 400,000 7.62 caliber rounds."

The IDF added that the rockets were all surface-to-surface and were capable of reaching any point in Israel from any launching point on the Gaza Strip. The ammunition rounds were all meant to be used with assault rifles. The rockets were manufactured in Syria, the IDF said.

The quake was followed by a series of aftershocks, including one that registered 4.8 on the Richter Scale.
