Malaysian Government May Know Exact Crash Site of Missing Jet

BALTIMORE, Maryland March 11, 2014 - A respected Aviation Blog is reporting that Malaysian Government Officials know the exact location where the missing Malaysian Airlines Jet with 239 persons on board crashed. It was reported a few hours ago that the Malaysian Military knows that the Jet went off course almost immediately after its last contact with civilian air traffic controllers at Subang at about 1:20 am Saturday morning. The reports said the plane then turned abruptly west, lost altitude, and flew over 200 nautical miles until the military radar also lost the aircraft. At the moment the military lost contact, at 2:40 am, the plane was flying at an altitude of 29,500 feet. But the earlier report also quoted police in the Malaysian City of Khota Bhuru, near the Thailand border, as seeing the plane only 3,000 feet off the ground.

The aviation blog "Crikey - Plane Talking with Ben Sandilands" says that a top Malaysian official who had regularly attended press briefings missed the briefing today to participate in the search. The blog included other information not previously known that led it to conclude that the authorities in Malaysia know a lot more about the end of the flight then they had told the rest of the world. The only hint that something was up was the suggestion on Sunday that the plane may have attempted to turn around and return to Kuala Lumpur before going missing.
