9 Dead, 35 hurt in California Highway Carnage

BALTIMORE, Maryland April 11, 2014 - Ten are now dead in a horific California interstate accident in which a truck crossed into oncoming traffic and slammed into a tour bus filled with high school students. The dead include both drivers and many students. The incident took place on Interstate 5 in Orland, California. Fox News said the bus had been sent by Humboldt State University to pick up high school students who wished to tour the campus.

According to the California Highway Patrol, a FedEx truck crossed a grassy median strip and slammed the bus, causing an explosion. The time of the crash was 8:40 pm EDT. At least 35 were hurt. Some of the dead never made it off the bus, as both the bus and truck were engulfed in flames after the explosion.
